NBA 2K LEAGUE RETURNS TO WASHINGTON, D.C. FOR 2024 SEASON IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MONUMENTAL SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT 

- Games Tip Off Feb. 28 and Run Through June 29 -

NEW YORK AND WASHINGTON, Jan. 31, 2024 – The NBA 2K League today announced that the 2024 season will return to District E Powered by Ticketmaster in Washington, D.C. in partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment.  Competitions will consist of a combination of remote and in-person gameplay, tipping off Wednesday, Feb. 28 and culminating Saturday, June 29.

Separated into 3v3 and 5v5 splits, the 3v3 portion of the season begins with the NBA2KL 3v3 SLAM OPEN from Feb. 28 through March 16, followed by the SWITCH OPEN March 20 through April 16, the STEAL OPEN April 19 and April 20, and finishing with the NBA2KL 3v3 Playoffs Wednesday, April 24 through Saturday, April 27.  Community teams who advanced during the Open Qualifier this month will have the opportunity to participate alongside NBA 2K League teams for a share of the 3v3 tournament prize pool in the NBA2KL 3v3 BLACKTOP SERIES.

The 5v5 competition starts on Wednesday, May 8 with THE TIPOFF Powered by AT&T, followed by THE TURN Powered by AT&T May 29 through June 15, THE TICKET June 18 and June 22, and will culminate with the NBA2KL 5v5 Playoffs June 26 through June 29.  THE BANNER CHAIN SERIES Powered by AT&T and the NBA 2K League 5v5 Playoffs will continue to feature only NBA 2K League teams.  All 25 teams will compete in THE TIPOFF and THE TURN.  The five top performing teams from each conference at the end of those tournaments will automatically qualify for the NBA 2K League 5v5 Playoffs.  The 15 remaining teams will compete in THE TICKET, with the winning teams from the two conferences earning the final 11th and 12th spots in the Playoffs.
